Stay away from this one
Hello,
I am writing this letter in hopes that everyone involved in the sideshow community will be aware of a situation that could potentially be a hazard.
In the summer of 2004, myself and Red Stuart presented a show idea to who we thought was a promoter/booking agent. We were short on performers, so Red showed him how to do blockhead so we could incorporate this guy into the show. Red made a deal that he would teach as much sideshow to this guy so we could have an extra performer. Well, as most of you are already aware I had my accident and was unable to perform for anyone. The deal Red made fell through and the booking agent remained unlearned in sideshow stunts, all but the blockhead. Here's where this story gets interesting.... this shyster went ahead with my plan, put together a show, did NOT ask me for input, permission, or help of any kind. As a matter of fact, he basically stole my show idea and promoted it to everyone except me. He didnt put it together right and was unable to even pay Red Stuart for his time.
Fast forward to now. My nipple is healed. I've been doing shows. I have a VERY professional legitimate booking agent who helped me get my show the way I want it: The Philadelphia Sideshow Revue. I have been booked gigs since February and for some reason this shyster theif shows up at my shows and even tried to upstage Red Stuarts show from the audience!!
My message is clear and simple: STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY! He is NOT a sideshow performer, he is NOT influential in business, he is definitely NOT professional at all and to be honest is someone who needs to know when he's not wanted.
His name is Eric "The Jellyboy" Broomfield and goes by "Prof. Malerkus" when attempting to appear as a sideshow entertainer (doing only blockhead). He is in a hippie band "Hydrogen Jukebox" and will try to use the band as a way to get booked for his little "sideshow" idea.
Please heed my call and understand that this is not coming from personal feelings or a place of anger. My concern is for the best of the sideshow community and the business dealings that we do when it comes to our craft.
